About me
Mike Meuter started with CRLA as a legal intern in the summer of 1991. He has been employed with CRLA since 1993, holding a variety of positions including staff attorney, Salinas Migrant Directing Attorney, Indigenous Program Director, Director of Litigation, Advocacy & Training, Migrant Unit Director, Deputy Director and currently General Counsel. During that time he has participated in many legislative and rulemaking proceedings and has also represented numerous farmworkers with wage and hour, workplace safety, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and housing claims by providing advice and counsel, brief services, administrative advocacy with the ALRB, Labor Commissioner, DFEH, and EEOC, as well as litigating these claims in State and Federal Courts. Mike is a graduate of Stanford University and he received his law degree from the Martin Luther King Jr. Hall, UC Davis School of Law. He is also a member of the Spreckels Volunteer Fire Company.
