About me
Ayyoub Ajmi is a dedicated educator and leader in legal technology and access to justice. He teaches Legal Technology, Law Practice Systems, and Document Automation at UMKC Law, equipping future lawyers with the skills to navigate and leverage emerging technologies in the legal profession.
Beyond academia, Ayyoub is the founder of CiviLaw.Tech, where he helps organizations design and deploy self-help portals that make legal processes more accessible and efficient. He has worked with courts, legal aid organizations, and government agencies to develop interactive platforms that integrate guided interviews, eligibility screenings, process timelines, explainer videos, and AI-powered chatbots.
As an immigrant and global legal technologist, Ayyoub brings a unique perspective on the challenges of navigating legal systems, particularly for underserved communities. He has collaborated with international NGOs to advance civic engagement, digital access, and legal empowerment.
Recognized by the American Bar Association and Missouri Lawyers Weekly for his contributions to legal innovation, Ayyoub continues to push the boundaries of technology to improve access to justice. He holds a J.D., an MLIS, and a B.A. in communication technologies.
