About me
Candi Rivera is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in program coordination, legal services, and community outreach. In January 2024, she was promoted to Program Manager for the Virtual Court Access Program (VCAP) at Texas Legal Services Center, after serving as the Virtual Court Kiosk Network Coordinator since 2022. In her current role, she oversees a statewide network of kiosks providing free virtual court access to underserved communities. Her responsibilities include managing program operations, coordinating partner meetings, supervising Virtual Court Navigators, and collaborating with external organizations to ensure the program's success.
Prior to her work with VCAP, Candi spent nearly a decade managing housing cases at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. She represented low-income tenants facing eviction from private and federally subsidized housing, providing direct client representation in administrative hearings, negotiating settlements, and assisting with pro se motions. She worked closely with clients, landlords, attorneys, and housing authorities to protect tenants’ rights.
