About me
Estuardo Cifuentes is the Program Manager at Project Corazon, the immigration branch of Lawyers for Good Government, where he leads outreach initiatives, develops new programs and partnerships, and provides critical support and resources to asylum seekers. As an asylee, Estuardo has firsthand experience with the challenges of the immigration system, having spent over eighteen months in Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). His lived expertise allows him to advocate for the most vulnerable populations, educate attorneys, communities, and key stakeholders on asylum issues, and work toward fairer access to humanitarian protection. His work has been featured in The New York Times, National Geographic, El País, Univision, and Telemundo. Before his work in asylum advocacy, Estuardo and his husband ran a successful digital marketing and branding business in Guatemala. He holds a degree in Business Administration from San Carlos University in Guatemala.
