About me
Sandra L. San Emeterio Fair, Esq., is the Director of Community Outreach and Education at Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut, where she leads efforts to expand access to justice for underserved communities. With nearly a decade of experience in community outreach, education, and advocacy, Sandra currently focuses on securing and managing grants, developing impactful training programs on legal issues affecting low-income populations, and creating outreach strategies that integrate technology and DEI principles.
In her current role, Sandra oversees educational programs designed to empower individuals and community organizations to navigate complex legal challenges. She plays a key role in outreach initiatives aimed at supporting migrant farmworkers, addressing their unique legal needs and improving access to vital resources. Additionally, Sandra has represented clients in housing court and pardon proceedings, further demonstrating her dedication to advancing equitable access to justice and ensuring vulnerable populations have the tools and representation they need to succeed.
Before joining Statewide Legal Services, Sandra represented mortgage lenders in foreclosure actions and mediation programs as Associate Counsel at a private law firm. She also served as a Temporary Assistant Clerk for the Connecticut Superior Court, supporting the Complex Litigation Docket.
Sandra is an active leader in the legal community, having held numerous leadership roles with the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, including serving as President. She is also a distinguished Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation’s James W. Cooper Fellows Program and an engaged member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Sandra earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in real estate from Western New England University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Justice from SUNY Oswego. Her expertise and commitment to integrating innovation and equity into legal services have established her as a respected advocate and leader in the field.
