About me
Vicki Schultz joined Maryland Legal Aid (MLA) as its new Executive Director in June 2022. Vicki spent her first decade as a lawyer at MLA. Before returning to MLA, Vicki was Associate Dean at the University of Baltimore School of Law and she serves as a Commissioner on the Maryland Access to Justice Commission. Prior to that, she was a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the DOJ where she oversaw fair housing and fair lending enforcement during the Obama Administration. Vicki previously worked as a Senior Advisor in state government to help lead the state’s response to the mortgage crisis, handle consumer protection and key labor initiatives.
